WE'VE THREE OFFERS OUT THERE
Gary Johnson has revealed he currently has three offers out for players he is targeting - and two are strikers.
The City manager was today putting his squad - with the addition of the only summer recruit to date Gavin Williams - through their paces on the training ground, and also through a vigorous bleep test.
But he is still busy behind his desk as negotiations continues with the aim of bringing in more new faces ahead of the new campaign, which kicks off on August 9th against Blackpool.
He told bcfc.co.uk: "We have three offers out there at the moment and we're negotiating with clubs.
"They're not problem negotiations, they're just negotiations and they shouldn't be taken too seriously - if I did then I'd be jumping from the Clifton Suspension Bridge!
"Ideally you'd like new signings to be on board by July 1st but that doesn't always happen.
"We're looking at people along the way, going out to foreign lands and we have got target still, which we'll continue to follow up."
Gary confirmed he is looking to add more firepower to his squad. "Two of the offers out there are for strikers," he said.
"That's why Enoch Showunmi and Darren Byfield left, so we could free up room in the squad for some new faces."
Meanwhile, Chris Weale and Scott Murray today put pen to paper on their new one-year contracts.
