Signed in October 2005 as back up to Steve Phillips, but soon forced himself into the first team and has been a regular ever since.
The former Woking keeper had a three-month trial spell with former Premiership champions Arsenal before being signed up by Gary Johnson.
After helping City to win promotion in 2006/07, Basso has another superb season the following campaign. He collected the Player of the Year award, BBC West Footballer of the Year gong and was named in the PFA Team of the Season.
