City have announced details of a new club membership scheme for the 2008/09 season.

Members will receive first priority on the best available seats for home Coca-Cola Championship fixtures.

And they will be first in the queue after season ticket holders for away and cup tickets, plus future season ticket sales.

Members will receive £2 off the 'general sale' price (click here) to all league matches and will use their own personalised smart card in place of matchday tickets for entry to Ashton Gate.

The technology behind the smart card will enable the ticket office to track attendance of games, ensuring the club can properly reward its most loyal fans in the future.

Group managing director Doug Harman told bcfc.co.uk: "Season ticket holders will continue to form the bedrock of our support. But we are aware that there are many supporters who attend regularly both home and away who cannot commit to a season ticket for a number of reasons.

"We have consulted widely with our supporters and believe this scheme will look after this section of our fanbase, whilst at the same time make people feel much more part of the club.

"In addition to the many benefits on offer, the new smart card technology also gives us the flexibility to look after our most loyal fans for in-demand games and bring in new features in the near future."

The full list of starter benefits are:-

- First priority on home matchday tickets, priority after season ticket holders on away or cup tickets, selected Ashton Gate events AND future season ticket sales.
- £2 saving on home matchday prices (equivalent of advance prices last year).
- Seats can be purchased online, as well as by phone or in person.
- Personalised members smart card - no tickets required.
- Membership of City Away Travel Service.
- Free entry to reserve games where not "all pay".
- Under-16s only: Free gift, signed birthday card and entry into a draw to become mascot at home and away matches.

Memberships will cost £20 adults, £5 under-16s and £40 families (two adults, two children). Under-16 members (and season ticket holders) will automatically become City Redz members and will be eligible for any benefits.
