SATURDAY'S PRESS TALK
Gavin Williams is convinced Bristol City boss Gary Johnson will bring out the best in him. And City's newest arrival says it was the prospect of working with the Londoner that ultimately convinced him to leave Championship rivals Ipswich Town and move to Ashton Gate. Midfielder Williams first shot to prominence under Johnson at Yeovil Town, helping the Glovers win the FA Trophy and promotion to the Football League for the first time in their history. Although he subsequently landed moves to West Ham United and Ipswich, the Welshman believes he played his best football for the Glovers. He said: "Gary Johnson is the manager who brings out the best in me. I still believe I played my best football during my time with Yeovil. When I heard Bristol City were interested in me, I jumped at the chance to come down here and talk to the manager. I enjoyed playing for Gary Johnson at Yeovil and that is still the happiest time of my career. I know what he's about and the way he likes to play football. He likes to entertain the fans and that's the way I like to play as well."

Bristol City are finally set to land Egypt striker Emad Meteb for a club record of £1.5million. The Robins wanted to pay in three installments - but his Al-Ahly club demanded the full amount up front. Meteb, 25, is one of the rising stars of African football, scoring 22 goals in 40 internationals.
An agreement has now been reached, leaving boss Gary Johnson with just one attacking role to fill.
